All four books are non-fiction paperback books packed full with facts and beautiful illustrations.  The stories are written through the eyes of young children and the children tell us all about the era that we are reading about.  The If You Were Me and Lived in … series are a great addition to anyone’s home library!  They can be added to any history program or unit study and are great even by themselves!

I love these books!!  They are full of lots of facts and no fluff!  They keep the kids engaged with the books through the illustrations on every page.  I like that everything is told through the eyes of a child.  During the review we read the books together in the evening.  Our history curriculum is a literature based curriculum and I will be adding these books to our reading list to be used when we cover these eras.
