{Review} Under the Sea Holy Bible

Are you looking for a new Bible for your child age 6 – 10 that loves sea life?  Under the Sea Holy Bible, NIrV by Zonderkidz is one you should look at!  My family and I were given the opportunity to review this Bible.

I love the cover of the Bible!  There is an underwater scene and sea life has glitter on them to make them stand out.  This Bible is written in NIrV (New International Reader’s Version) which is an easy read for young children.

Everyone has sinned.  No one measures up to God’s glory.
-Romans 3:23 NIrV

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.  Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.
-John 3:16 NIrV

I do like that it contains the complete Bible.  Sometimes in children’s Bibles only the popular or well known stories will be in it.  The font is on the small side and some children may have some difficulty in reading the words.  While I do like the 2 column pages, this may create some trouble for beginning readers.

Throughout the Bible there are some beautiful, illustrated, and colorful pages.   What you can find on these pages are:

  • Famous Children of the Bible
  • The ABCs of Becoming a Christian
  • Ten Commandments for Kids
  • Love Passage for Kids
  • Prayer is …
  • The Lord’s Prayer
  • Books of the Bible

At the end of the Bible you will find ‘Great Bible Stories’ and the dictionary.

  1. Thank you for this review. I remember receiving my first Bible when I was 11 King James Version and it was hard to understand. So glad to hear about newer version for a child to comprehend and grasp the good word.
