{Review} Captive DVD & Giveaway

Have you watched any good movies recently?  I have!  My mom and I watched Captive starring Kate Mara and David Oyelowo.  It is an excellent movie!

Captive is based on a true story of Ashley Smith being held captive in her own home by Brian Nichols.  Brian Nichols escaped from the Fulton County Courthouse while awaiting a court appearance on March 11, 2005.  During his escape he left four people dead, one severely injured, and took Ashley Smith hostage.

Watch the movie to check out the time that they spent together during her captivity and how God opened up an opportunity for Ashley to read The Purpose Driven Life : What on Earth am I Here for? by Rick Warren to Brian and ultimately led to her release.

Captive is rated PG-13 due to violence and substance abuse, and is not appropriate for young children.  It may also be too intense for young teenagers.  It does open up a opportunity for parents to discuss violence and substance abuse with teenagers.
